Mig L says:

I dont know how to dance salsa. It always came harder for me for some
reason. Bachata and merengue are so much easyier

Ferz Nator says:

@vouser the musicians write 4/4 goes 1234, which is not conviniente for
dancers, cuz you rock step once with left then with right on each measure,
the salsa frase would be 12345678 then we do a pause on 4 and on 8, if you
are dancing on1 or ny on2, it would be 123 567, it may not seem much the
pause cuz our body is always in the move, you could do also sharper 123
pause 4 then continue, but since dancing on a slot is better to dance
progressive, meaning passing your foot on the count 3..

Puneet Arora says:

excellent work…we need more of these

Franky Rot says:

Raquel Flores says:

ummm its WTF not WFT !!! what planet are you from?!

tommy m says:

let’s be honest guys. 95% of us take up salsa to pick up. And it does work.
But every guy in salsa club knows how to dance so how do you separate
yourself? When I was starting I spent too much time on learning steps,
instead of improving my game. Check out my video and see how I picked up
way more girls than the best dancers. It’s comedy, but you’ll get the
point. #1 be more fun. Salseros way too serious.

Guidege Jean says:

Love this!!!! Great tutorial, can’t wait to get to turns

dallas1love says:

Not trying something that is challenging(” looks difficult” to use your
terminology) is your personality flaw not the guy’s fault. Learning to
dance salsa is not easy but well worth the effort.

SaludNapa says:

In Cuban style salsa the way you mentioned is correct. There are many ways
to do the basic which is great for dancing diversity

Jehu Carmona says:

Dude , you are freaking off timing and that at the end is crap! cuban style
is not even part of the ESPN salsa championship because it sucks ass!!!!!!

Anthony Rangel says:

Excellent dance skills 🙂 I’m Hispanic, im very excited with learning more
moves

tefa renteria says:

yall do it perfect but dancing salsa with those kind of clothes yall were
wearing makes the dance look wack but it still look good the movements…

aqppaulet says:

Даниел Б says:

In my first Salsa Basic course I learned the men begin with the left foot
back 1-2-3 and then forward with the right foot 1-2-3 so what is wrong ?!

SaludNapa says:

We’ve evolved more into a food blog but we may revisit salsa dancing soon!

SaludNapa says:

Estamos contentos de que haya disfrutado el video!

Leandro Rubiano says:

i wasted my time learning salsa looking at these nerds, i just learnt the
****ing numbers!

SaludNapa says:

Thanks for your kind comment! We hope you take up salsa dancing!

SaludNapa says:

@JehuCarmona Chill out hombre. We know the music is off by 4 counts as it
was edited in wrong but oh well. C’est la vie. In terms of the ending, if
you recognized our moves as Cuban style then sweet! I think I’m a pretty
shitty dancer and just prance around every now and then for fun but having
a style makes my heart warm. Take care dude and long live ESPN. Don’t
forget to hug your mother.

SaludNapa says:

Hi Vouser, Yep, you’re totally correct. We totally know salsa is 4/4.
Sometimes for beginners it’s simpler though to omit the silent beats of “4”
and “8” as it’s easier to pick up that way which is why we count “1-6” in
the video. This is how we were both taught when we started dancing. As we
progressed, various salsa instructors we practiced with started to explain
the 4/4 beat/syncopation. which was easier to pickup since we had a good
understanding of the the actual basic steps.

tiineyyy says:

Really well done; good job guys [=

itsmeyousee says:

I am 55 years old and decided to take dance lessons with my wife, this
video taught me more clearly and easily in 7.5 minutes than days of lessons
in a crowded studio with people that were clearly not all beginners. If
these two ever put out a how to video I would be their first customer.
