So, if you want to legitimatize pole dancing wear something more truly athletic and can the high heels. Just about the time this woman says “it’s not stripping” there the video shows her kicking off her skirt! I’ve seen the campaign to turn this into an Olympic event before, and if that happens I hope the rules will include keeping it athletic. These moves are amazing but they are rightfully associated with sexual more than athletic trends, simply because performers, regardless of what they say, go for that presentation. You can’t protest it away, but if you want real changes in the industry it has to start with the performers.
