Es interesante que tanta gente comente de forma negativa ante un estilo de baile, con respecto al caleño es un estilo muy fuerte y expresivo, el casino es un baile grupal, divertido y de mucha versatilidad física, el on 2 es un estilo elegante, preciso, marcado y exigente por el tiempo, cada estilo tiene su diferencia pero a las finales todos se usan para bailar, la música une y traspasa fronteras y con el baile es mucho más rápido de asimilar.

No se trata de competencia!! Que viva la diferencia por que eso es la salsa… El estilo Caleno es unico y tiene su swing al igual que los cubanos y el resto de estilos que existen , lo importante es pasarla bien, y compartir! no COMPETIR…por eso es que los latinos nunca progresamos…

Actually in Cuba & etc. they learn it (as kids) to dance alone… It is only here when the people imminently want to dance with some one. Very much understanding of music and rhythm (and you own body) comes when you dance solo. In New York Style it is often called shines. In general, food work is a good start.

@SalseroOn1 – Amazing salsa dancing with the right training, that is. Cuban motion, isolations, strong feel and understanding of salsa music, technique, “flow”, good kinesthetics, efficient movement, etc etc. Oliver Pineda (look him up), Juan Matos, Muaze, the Cobo brothers, Victor & Burju (look them up), Czaba & Vali, Magna Gopal, all have beautiful “sabor” yet most don’t regularly dance cuban or cali, they dance linear. Yes it is possible, and no you don’t have to be “latino”!

I’ve seen all kinds of salsa from all styles from *everywhere* for the last 5 years, and I can assure you the ppl in the vid are oozing sabor. You don’t have to be born in South America or Cuba to exclusively have it – I know quite a few latinos who lack rhythm yet they believe they’re natural dancers because it’s “in their blood”. That, my friend, is bullshit. All humans are cabable of sabor and amazing salsa dancing.
